HALL OF FAME MEMBER

May 17, 2011  - July 3rd, 2011

My name is Aaron Peddicord and I live in Las Vegas, NV, USA.
I have been doing puzzles my whole life and especially enjoy the large piece count puzzles. When I saw that a new "World's Largest Puzzle" was out, and that it was made by Ravensburger (the best puzzles in the world), I couldn't wait to give it a go. I recieved my puzzle on May 17, 2011 and started right away.

Aaron Peddicord , Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - Worlds Largest Puzzle

Every day I logged my hours and when I finally finished on July 3rd, I had spent 234 hours over the course of 48 days to complete this monster.

I completed each of the eight sections (minus a handful of pieces that my dog ate) and began to assemble them outside on the street. We live at the end of the court so there should be no problem....

That is when the nightmare began. I'll remind you that I live in Las Vegas. In the middle of the desert. Where it rains 2 inches per year. After I had assembled four sections the clouds rolled in and out of nowhere began to pour down rain. Lucky for me, my neighbors were outside celebrating the Fourth of July and all rushed to help me cover up the puzzle with towels and blankets. After about ten minutes of downpour the rain moved, out as fast as it came in, and disaster had been avoided. Some of the pieces around the edge did get wet but for the most part it was saved.

I didn't want to risk another disaster so I disassembled those sections and waited a few days, when there wasn't a cloud over the U.S., and finally put the whole thing together. If you love puzzles you have to give this one a try. I also recommend "Cities of the World", "Astrology", "Historic World Maps", "New York The City That Never Sleeps" and of course "Life"!
